Did you know? At Gare we have 2 in-house sculptors! Our sculptors, along with our staff artist and design team, help keep a pulse on trends so we can continue to provide you with a full range of in-house, uniquely designed ceramic bisque as well as the most vivid color in the industry!

Meet Robert!

Robert Sharpe has been a sculptor at Gare for the past 38 years. Robert’s journey to the U.S. and to Gare started when his father Garry Sharpe answered Gare’s want-ad for a sculpting position. Garry moved his family from England to Haverhill, Massachusetts and became Gare’s lead sculptor up to his retirement. Robert took over as Gare’s sculptor in 2005 and has been creating unique pieces exclusive to Gare ever since. His style is full of magic and his pieces have been said to be “more than sculptures”, they have been described as “having soul”.  Robert has created a style unique to Gare – this style has been coined as “Gare cute”.

Meet Tammy!

Tammy Gacek is our talented staff artist that comes to us with over 32 years of ceramics experience! In addition to being artist and “kiln queen” at her sister’s former studio - The Magic Brush, her portfolio also includes a past career as a custom artist at Border Fine Arts. Tammy loves detail work and for fun, loves painting small scale miniatures (see her mini Jif jar below). One of her goals at Gare is to inspire and develop classes that are beautiful, easy to teach and achievable for studios and customers to execute. She loves helping studios become more profitable through sharing her projects and designs. In addition to her artistic ability, Tammy also taught preschool where she was passionate about sharing her love for the arts with her kids. Tammy loves spreading joy through her artwork. She is a firm believer in uplifting & encouraging others to be positive and inspirational.

Meet Charlotte!

Our Gare family tree continues to grow! Meet Charlotte Leclerc. Charlotte is the newest magic maker to join our Gare creative team! Charlotte started with us in June of 2023 as Gare’s Sales and Marketing Assistant. She is the daughter of our talented lead artist Tammy Gacek. Charlotte not only has a keen eye for graphics, page layout, color, and composition, but soon after she was hired, she took an interest in sculpting! Once she got her hands in the clay, she developed a newfound passion and started to develop her very own style. Her pieces embody a younger vibe (that speaks to her generation) with a trendy flare which is a nice offset to Robert’s “Gare look and feel”. Carrying on with the Gare tradition, Charlotte is apprenticing under Robert and learning the skills to keep providing our customers with the most outstanding design, service, and quality in the industry.
